Bettina Heinen-Ayech and her artist friends travelled to many regions of Europe and the world, creating their work in the tradition of the old "travel painters". Their artistic legacy is now distributed internationally - in private collections that are mostly inaccessible today - and thus withdrawn from the public.
Wherever possible, the Foundation would like to have the paintings and works on paper digitalised in high-resolution images so that these works can once again be made usable for the general public. The artworks will then find their way into the virtual painting gallery and can also be used for publications and research.
